Making Silly Faces

Making silly faces to the camera is so fun!

Mario, you're so funny!

Hannah's silly face with help from mom. She was trying to do it herself. She's really starting to get a fun little sense of humor. We think she'll be a funny kid! That's kinda creepy, Hannah! Save that for Halloween!

Standards Night Skit

Last night was Standards Night for the youth in our ward. They started things off with a skit that Mario had written. Jovania, Mario's sister, played "Molly" Aaron Pilkington, our neighbor and friend, played "Jack" and Jay Johnson, our friend and member of our ward, played "Stan". Enjoy!

Hannah Learning New Things

As our little Hannah quickly approaches 1 year she is learning many new things each day. She took her first steps a few days ago, 7 in a row! We were so proud! But alas, of course she wouldn't perform for the camera as well. We did however catch her taking a few steps, but you will have to take our word on the fact that she can do much better.

She also learned to climb the stairs. Now she think she can "climb every mountain" and has moved onto bigger things like toddler beds and high chairs. But her favorite pastime is still the stairs. Because we don't want to screw anything into the banister on the stairs we haven't put up a gate. Instead we have substituted with a couple rocker chairs strategically placed. It worked for a couple days, but she soon found her way around it. Therefore we constantly have to rearrange them so she has to re-figured out how to get past them. Sometimes she gives up and moves on to other things, which is the goal of the rearranging.

She also has developed this ear-piercing scream that she does when she is mad, frustrated, hungry, happy, playing, sad, needs attention.... etc. So pretty much all day long. It's especially fun because little Mario has learning that he can do the same scream, just as high, and they occasionally get in these really fun screaming contests that always results in Mom popping a couple Tylenol (a drug addict in the making, if this goes on any longer).

The last thing that is included in this video is what we like to call her "Sit Up and Scoot". She usually does this when she is holding something and would like to move herself to a new location to play with it. She sits on her knees then puts one leg out and propels herself forward to the desired location. Our favorite is when she has something she's not suppose to have and she sees us coming to get it and she take off in this manner, she can get going pretty fast, almost as fast as her crawling.

So sit back, turn your volume up (but not too loud because her fun scream is on here) and enjoy this 2 minute video of Hannah and her new tricks.

Cindy's Sewing Projects

Cindy (me, I'm going to refer to myself in 1st person from now on.) is learning how to sew. Back in January I made 6 stockings for my family with the help of Emilee. That inspired me to try some other things. With the help from my friend Jen, who let me borrow her sewing machine, I have made a couple other projects that I am proud of, so here they are:

I made a reversible dress for Hannah:

Then I made myself a purse:

Here's a close up of the fabric:

I'm pretty pleased with myself. I have some other projects in mind, but I have to wait for more funds to start on them. To see other pictures of projects, click on the slide show on the right and browse through them. Enjoy!

Hannah loves to give kisses. It's so cute! I just pucker my lips and make the kissing sound and she kisses! It's so cute, but once she starts she wants to kiss again and again and again.

She's also learning to stand up on her own. It's up and down and up and down! She'll get it.

Cindy and the Kids are Coming to BOISE!

That's right, end of September I am going to brave the crazy airlines and bring myself and two kids to Boise, Idaho. The kids and I are going to be there for 4 WEEKS! We will leave near the end of October. Poor Daddy Mario will have to pick up a hobby to pass the time while we are gone. We can't wait to see everyone and spend some much needed time with my family. We want to see as many people as we can, since we are only over there twice a year (if we're lucky), so please contact us and tell me when would be a good time to see you! Be sure to check out the countdown clock that I added to see how long until we get there! See you real soon!
