Dead Tree and Something Out of Character

So we got a free Christmas tree from the military this year. Usually when we buy a tree the cut off the end for you.... well, they didn't and we forgot to, so a week after we got the tree it started dying. We thought we would leave it up and try to see how long it would last, but a couple days later it was looking pretty sad and ever time I touch it, it would start crumbling apart. So yesterday it a fit of rage I tore all the ornaments and lights off of it and threw it in my front yard!! I was not ever happy! So I called Mario on the phone and told him, "I just want to let you know ahead of time that I torn down the tree down and threw it in the front yard!!" he then said, "I was going to get a new tree and bring it home for you. I almost cried! What a great husband I have! So Mario and I thought that we would teach that old dead tree who was boss so this is what we did to it! It took 1 match and less than a minute. I took pictures every 10 seconds, that just shows you why you shouldn't keep a dead tree in your house!!! So we got a new tree, it's 8' 9"!! It's huge!! Maybe a little to big for the room, but I LOVE IT!!!

Also, for those of you who know me know that I was really nervous to paint the house, we've been here for 3 years and not painted one single wall!! I just don't know how to do interior design.. so my awesome husband said one day that he was sick of our plain boring walls so he went to the store, got the supplies and the paint and started with the living room! I love it! He spend 5 hours doing it, but it was totally worth it!! Thanks honey!!

BTW, we also got a new TV, so nice to have something bigger than 20"!!! Thank you reenlistment bonus!! Have a Merry Christmas!

Happy Birthday Little Mario!

So my sweet little boy turn 4 years old on the 5th of December. I know I've been really bad at updating my blog! We are so happy and overjoyed that little Mario came into our lives! We did a race car party. Mario really really liked his race car track cake! He even got to pick out the cars that went on top of it! We had some friends over and had presents and cake. He had a lot of fun on his birthday! I don't know why, but I haven't taken as many pictures as I usually do lately, so all I have is this one of him with his cake.

We got this little racing helmet for Mario to wear at his party, but Hannah loves to wear it. It thought these pictures were just to cute not to post!

And here is a moment from the party! I love the clapping at the end!

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun night on halloween! Here are a few fun photo from the night!

This is what we left out for the trick-or-treater, when we came back every sucker was still in the pumpkin! Right before we took it in, a car drove up with three teeny boppers in it and we let them have all of the suckers!

Getting the seeds out of the pumpkin! Yummy!

New table

What do you think of my new table? I'm sooooo excited! I got it for $5, thank you Kendra!! If only I had chairs to go with it. Oh well, that day will come. We only have 3 chairs, so if you come over for dinner, BYOC (bring your own chairs)! LOL!

*WARNING* Graphic content

People call me Cindy, but my friends call me Mousehunter!!

Yes, that is right, we have had mice in our humble abode! And let me say I have been quite put out and disgusted by it! But all good tails (pardon the pun) must come to and end (ah ha ha!). At least I am hoping this is the end. After two days and 4 traps, I have successfully killed 4 mice! EWWWW!!! I know! Oh ye faint of heart, look no further! Mom, that means you. For I have proof of my bounty! Here is the place which the beasts have attained entrance to my abode:

And here is what happens when beasts mess with the Mousehunter:

Muah ha ha ha ha!!! The only mouse allowed in my home is Mickey Mouse:

Let us hope that when my Pest Control guy comes on Friday there will be no more left for him to kill!!

Carving pumpkins

We carved pumpkins for FHE on Monday. We invited our friends Kendra and Patrick over to carve with us. First we had kabob for dinner and then carved and then enjoyed s'mores over the fire in our backyard. It was a prefect night for roasting!!! We had a lot of fun. Neither of the kids wanted to put their hand in the pumpkin, so I really ended up doing most of it, but it was fun anyway. Mario was in charge of getting the fire going and separating out the seeds. He was having sooo much fun as you can tell from the picture!! he he he! Thanks baby!

Mario and Hannah are super excited for Halloween, our first of 3 halloween parties was today, but we didn't get to go because little Mario is sic. I didn't tell him about missing the party, I thought it would upset him. He is feeling much better now, I hope he's 100% by friday for the ward trunk-or-treat. I hope you all have a great halloween! I'll update with some fun pictures first of the month!

Potty Training Hannah and more...

So we have started potty training Hannah... it's actually going really really really well!! I waited to potty train her until she was good and ready and even asking to go when I or little Mario would go. We worked on it for 3 days and by the end of the 3 days she had it down. That's not to say that she is accident free, but pretty darn close. We even went out running errands today and she didn't have any accidents!!! I'm so pround of my little Hannah!! Now we just need to get night time down, but even with that she's already gotten up a couple times to get at night and usually wakes up dry!!! Whoo! Hoo! Go Hannah!

So, I got a new hair style... what do you think?

Just joking. I wouldn't do that. Here is my real new haircut. I like it! It doesn't get in the way all the time now. Here it is... I'm not very good at self-portraits...

Alright, I had to put this one on too! I just think it is so cute. It's Hannah in the wig. Rawr!!

I Love Jones!

So I really like Jones Soda. My favorite is FuFu Berry. It's always been a silly dream of mine to have one of my photos printed on one of their labels, silly I know, but I've always toyed with the idea of submitting a picture. Well I finally did it! I've posted 3 in fact and I need your votes to get it picked, it's does guarantee, but it helps! So I've added links on the sidebar right there ------> so that all you have to do is click and vote... a ten would be best, but anything helps.. vote 10.... so yeah, do what you want... vote 10.. and I would really appreciate it! You can vote a couple times, but if you do it too many times (Mandy...), it will delete my photo... just keeping us all honest.... vote 10.

Thanks!!!

The last few weeks...

I've been kind of pathetic with my blog updates. I went on this awesome trip to Boise and I still haven't blogged about it. I will eventually. Maybe today if I feel like it. But right now I'm going to talk about our last few weeks.

When I got back from Boise I went to go see Mario graduate from ALS (Airman Leadership School). After a very long and loud graduation dinner we spent the night in Columbia, thanks to Jovania and Greg watching our kids and then came home in the morning. It was fun to get away for one night.

The following weekend we got a fun surprise from Grandma and Grandpa Correa and Uncle Chris. They came into town and surprised us for 2 days. That was fun to spend the evening with them and enjoy some much needed time with them.

Grandma Correa made Hannah and Maggie some super cute hats that SHE crocheted herself!! I was pretty impressed. They left first thing in the morning on Sunday. We sure miss them and can't wait to see them in November!!

On the 16th was Hannah's birthday. We had a couple friends and family over for a little birthday party. But before that...

In the morning Hannah work up with streamers and balloons... she loved it!

Then for breakfast we had pancakes in the shape of hearts, butterflies and bunnies. (Little Mario had cars and trucks and trains)

Hannah loves to get into my make-up, so I supervised her putting make up on. She did quite an interesting job. After that we painted each other's nails. Hannah did a pretty good job at staying on my nails. I still have it on... he he he. I need to get that off.

The we had the party in the evening. We had PIZZA!! Because that's Hannah's favorite.

Then we played some games. We played pin the tiara on the poster thing... a silly dollar store game I got.

Everyone got a try, even Daddy. He was pretty close to winning, but the person who one was 2cm away!!

Then we opened presents. But first off I love this picture, I think it's so funny!

She got some clothes and a Tinker bell wand and some money and a cup, ball.. lots of fun little things.

This was her princess cake. I thought it turned out okay.

Silly girls sticking their tongues out!!

This morning Hannah got into my make-up again. This time unsupervised. Little goober! She didn't like it so much when I washed it off, but I could resist not getting a photo! That's my Hannah!!
