New Addition!

We are proud to announce a new addition to our family. A 1994 Ford Ranger!!! (Did you think we were pregnant? LOL!) We are now a 2 car family! And let me tell you, it is WONDERFUL!!! We got a steal of a deal on this little truck and my husband LOVES it, as does little Mario. Hannah could care less and I'm just excited to see my boys excited!

Mario loves the little seat in the back. And he's always asking to ride in the bed, I don't think he understands how dangerous that is. He he he.

Is this legal?- YES!!!

I had to share this, it was just too cool to not share. I found this website called Swaptree.com and it is so fun. You get all your media (books, CD's, DVD's, and video games) that you don't want anymore, create an account with swaptree, enter the UPC number on the back and start trading with other people. All you pay is shipping and you can trade people for things that you want! I've already traded my Shrek DVD for Stephanie Meyer's The Host and The Cat in the Hat DVD for Disney Lullabies CD. I;ve been wanting that forever, I just never wanted to buy it. Then you can either read, or watch, or (clear throat) burn, or play the item that you receive and then put it back up for trade or keep it! So with my first trade I think I'm getting a pretty good deal by trading a $7.00 movie for a $29.99 book! I've been having a lot of fun playing around with it and seeing what I can get. With only entering in one CD I have over 15,000 items that I could trade for!! Obviously some things I entered I couldn't trade because no one wanted them, but it's fun to see what items people want. Anyway, I just wanted to share it and say, don't buy that book or DVD or CD or game that you've wanted, try to trade for it first! All you pay is shipping!

My New Sewing Room!!!

I've been using this for awhile now, but I just now got it cleaned up enough to take pictures of. Before I had just throw all my fabric and tools in here and worked around it. But now da da da daaaa!! Here it is!!! I still have some more things to get for it, but for now this will do.

Strawberries and friends!!!

Our friends Phil and Alicia and their kids came this last Saturday to spend the day with us! We went to the strawberry patch, made strawberry rhubarb pie, homemade eggs rolls and played games, it was so fun I forgot to take pictures. This morning I did take the above picture of Hannah enjoying the last of the strawberries to the fullest! She LOVES strawberries! As you can tell form the hugely cheesy grin in this picture. We picked enough to make 2 batches of jam which I'm going to make later today! I love the strawberry patch! Thanks for the great visit Phil and Alicia!!

Ride, pimped... and more

It's amazing to me how much time I can waste blogging....

Anyway, the kids are excited because we have been doing some very spring type things. When we came back from Florida we had a bird's nest in our back yard so we have been watching the birds take care of their babies. We even made a bird bath and a bird feeder for them, which they still haven't touched.

We also planted some seeds which the kids love to watch grow. Mario planted Zinnia, I planed basil and Hannah planted strawberries. Also a pot of black beans to show the kids that you don't have to buy seeds at a store to grow something. Those have by far done the best (how the heck do you harvest those things!?!). Hannah's strawberry plant was the last one to come up, It's small, but so it Hannah.

And last, but certainly not least, I bought Mario a scooter at Goodwill (that place is awesome!) for $8.00. Unfortunately it was Disney Princess and ugly and FADED!!! So, being the resourceful person that I am.. as a gangsta would put it, I pimped his ride!! We spray painted it black and red and even though it's not perfect, he loves it and it's not girly anymore.

For those of you who have been commenting on my ghetto back yard: It's not ghetto anymore, see!!!

And for those of you who are interested I made myself I sewing blog. It's called: "that's sew cindy" and you can get to it by clicking on the side bar for it on the top right hand side of this blog. I figured that there are only a handful of people out there that care about my sewing obsession.  So I made a blog for myself so I stop cluttering my family blog with my hobby. Enjoy! Thanks for reading!

I can't stop sewing!

I got home from my trip and transformed our upstairs office area in to SEWING ROOM!!! Since I didn't have any projects I felt like finishing, I fished through my remnants and found some material to make Hannah a ruffle skirt. I didn't use a pattern, I just did it! She like it, it's a little long, but that just means she will be able to wear it for a few years.

Disney World Trip!!

Alright, alright, to all of you out there that have been nagging me for this, here you go!! I finally sorted through the 798 picture we took and cropped and edited and uploaded..... so now you can see all the fun we had in Disney World!

The kids liked it okay, it would've been batter to wait until they were older, of course, but because of the sweet deal through the military, we couldn't pass it up. We REALLY enjoyed the company of my brother Ric, his wife Emilee and their adorable kids, Leila (5) and Blake(2). I had a long long , tiring week, but fun ourselves out and LOVED (almost) every minute of it. Because Mario and I have been to Disney World enough times for 10 people, it was fun to see Emilee, Leila and Blake see it for the first time. I enjoyed being the personal tour guide and we were successfully able to do everything we wanted to (except Mickey's Jungle Jammin' Parade, sorry!) and had time for a couple more things we didn't think we'd get to. I think the last day was my favorite in Magic Kingdom when we did over 15 attractions saw tons of characters and cried happy tears during the fireworks and wished we didn't have to go home! Enjoy the slideshow!

This was my favorite video we took, this bird was snapping at the kids and they thought it was so funny. You can hear the cast member telling us to "be careful" at the end of it. LOL!
